From full-stack to AI/ML

My background so far is full-stack — Next.js applications, relational schema design, deployed React front ends. I'm still fairly new to AI/ML specifically, and I want to be upfront about that: I'm a junior developer who's genuinely enthusiastic about this field and putting in the work to close the gap, one project and one course at a time. What I bring from the full-stack side is that I already know how to take something from an idea to a working, deployed product — now I'm applying that same instinct to AI systems.

The Django RAG engine in the Projects section is the clearest example of that so far — building it meant learning document ingestion, vector search, and multi-provider LLM integration mostly by doing, and I made plenty of mistakes along the way. That's the part I actually enjoy most about this field: there's always more to learn, and I'm looking for a team where I can keep learning like that — by building real things and getting better with every one.
